The Compass Blog by Spiritual Atlas covers a blip of the human experience with the aim to help
others see the light in small moments, channeling their power into positive things, be better
humans, and building serenity through time. In my experience, from work to yoga to writing, I
have learned that room is required to find peace with the journey and a reflection to check in
with yourself.
Whether you read this at its publication on my website in September 2026 or later, I provide this
message to serve as a reminder whenever necessary.
Arriving in the room of your mind, the temple that is You, depends on your response to life
unfolding with every breath and moment. The room may become dark and hard to navigate, or
shaky and uneasy to step through. Sometimes the room is so empty, and only echoes of the
thoughts we cannot quiet rumble through the temple. Sometimes, the room fills with warmth,
gratitude filling the space with serenity and peace.
Your room needs maintenance: wiped down, mopped up, decluttered, and aired out. Your room,
your temple, deserves the attention in keeping your mind, body and spirit connected. How can
you create space for peace when the mind is cluttered with obsessive thoughts or memories?
Peace means you accept in balance what you have cleaned and sorted in your room while
knowing there is still more work to do.
Peace is the grace you give yourself as you sort through the room of clutter, of untidiness, and of
dustiness.
Peace is when you see the small remnants of warm sun kissing through your windows, regardless
of what the room condition is.
Peace is at your pace, and acknowledging the journey is never-ending to grasp the moments it
arrives and leaves.
Peace is practicing mindfulness during each living day, on your journey through this human
experience.
Create, make, clean, and grant the peace room grace when you, metaphorically, lack the
composure to feel, see, or recognize peace there.
Recognize that peace is necessary, but you cannot decide how it will come. How the things you
occupy your time with will invite peace in your room, but it’s up to you to maintain the space to
see able to see peace arrive and gracefully go. It’s a little easier that way to watch peace’s hellos
and goodbyes.
