October's energy brings about airy thoughts.
My deep reflections are particularly noticeable in the fall, considering my birthday is in
October. I am most inspired to write, teach, and enjoy time with loved ones. An offline
day, free from social media, is usually how I spend my birthday, allowing me to
contemplate my life experiences. Finding something to write about is easy for me,
particularly if it's reflective.
On my birthday morning, I floated in a salt pool, alone, and gently watched the ceiling
while reflecting on my gratitude for life. Taking a deep breath, my body then subtly rose
from the water. With an exhale, I thought, whoa.
It is not based on what the body naturally does, but rather on an epiphany: holding your
breath during a deep inhale makes staying afloat effortless. To stay afloat, you end up
holding it all in: the energy, the moment, the grudge, the experience. Sinking slightly
occurs as you exhale, but you remain afloat. You're no longer holding it all in, even if it's
not comfortable.
The life force is the act of breathing; thus, you trust you will stay afloat no matter how
you breathe. No matter how uncomfortable things get, trusting the flow and the process
is imperative.
No matter the state of breath you’re in, you got this!
With Love and Light,
