My First Trip to Costa Rica: What No One Tells You

My First Trip to Costa Rica: What No One Tells You

My First Time in Costa Rica, things no one tells you.

Throughout my travels I vacationed to Costa Rica twice, in which one was during its rainy season (between May to November). The first time I went with a friend from Costa Rica with a large group of friends, where we were spent most of our time in the northwestern part of the country. We ventured about Flamingo beach and Tamarindo, two tourist cities on the coast. At Flamingo beach, we caught a sighting of a flamboyance (a flock of flamingos) at around seven in the morning. We took a day trip to zip line near Arenal Mountain. That day, the sun was shining bright, the views were spectacular, and the zip line instructors were attentive yet fun. My friends helped lighten the mood for the ones nervous to zip line down the rainforest. If you’d read my book Borrowed Wings, A Memoir, you would know how important good company is to me, as my friends have been a major part of my human experience. Next time, we will dive into the good eats with the locals, a fire show we bumped into on the beach, and an oasis of rivers filled with volcanic rock.

With love and light,

Mary Love
